🎧 1. a) Kate is at her friend’s house. They are doing a project together. Listen to their conversation and say what the problem is.

Jill: Kate, I’m hungry. Would you like something to eat?

Kate: Yes, please. Are there anycrisps?

Jill: No, there aren’t.

Kate: Is there anybread?

Jill: No, there isn’t. There aren’t any biscuits and there isn’t any cheese.

Kate: Is there anyfood in your house?

Jill: Well, there are somezucchinis and there’s some vegetable oil.

Kate: What? Sorry, I don’t like zucchinis.

Jill: Me neither¹. What shall we do?

b) Look at the phrases in bold and complete the rule with “some” or “any”.
